Good Morning Beautiful Ladies, 😘❤️
Today, 0️⃣5️⃣/2️⃣0️⃣/2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣0️⃣ marks our 4th monthly prayer challenge. On this special Wednesday, we are doing something a little bit different. We will incorporate a “voluntary fast” along with our 2️⃣0️⃣ minutes of praying. There are no obligations to participate as I stated in earlier posts. This is strictly voluntary. If you just want to pray, by all means, please do so. 🙏🏽😇 Furthermore, if you have health concerns restricting you from this “fast”, please just pray. Your well-being is very important. Additional scriptures have been included for this “fast” which are listed below. You are still encouraged and more than welcome to join us in the reading and meditating of those verses.
For those of you ladies who feel led to “fast” we will follow the guidelines below beginning with these exclusions:
As mentioned before, these items will be excluded from practical things to give up during any type of “fast” we participate in out of concern for our overall health and well-beings: drinking water, prescribed medication, multi-vitamins or any type of vitamin supplement, special diets, protein shakes, exercise, physical therapy sessions, and the usage of all types of life-aiding and mobility devices. Through prayer, the Lord brought these things to mind. These essentials are necessary to maintaing a good quality of life. Drinking plenty of water and staying hydrated are extremely important as well as taking your prescribed medications/vitamin supplements, eating healthy, exercising, using your life aiding and mobility devices if this applies to you, and participating in physical therapy sessions if needed. Please continue to do these things.
Along with this, prayerfully consider something practical you can give up for either half the day or the whole day for our King with the exception of the items listed above. Please keep in mind, it should be something that’s already a part of your daily life. For example, giving up a particular food item that’s eaten every blue moon or something you participate in once in a while is not a fair choice. You are not going to necessarily crave or miss those things. Do you get the idea? Something practical can be your daily coffee intake if you are a coffee lover, sweets (chocolate, cake, danishes, ice cream, donuts, etc), social media, or a favorite tv program. These are just examples. You have a better idea of what your daily routines and eating habits are. For today, please prayerfully consider what the Lord may ask you to give up for either the entire or half the day. Please also pray for the Lord to give you His strength to do so. This will be challenging for all of us, but with the Lord, all things are possible. In addition, please keep your fasting time between you and the Lord.
In addition to our 2️⃣0️⃣ minutes of praying today, we will spend an extra 40 minutes reading selected passages and verses from God’s Word that pertain to our waiting on and trusting in Him for the godly husband He has promised to each one of us if He has confirmed this to you. The scriptures are posted below following the two qualities. I highly encourage each of you ladies to write in a journal or notebook how the Lord is ministering and speaking to your heart through the scriptures. If you want to use your phone, tablet, or computer, please feel free to do so. I strongly believe by writing or keeping a record of how the Lord speaks to each of us will be a constant reminder of His faithfulness in our lives in the years to come.
The flexibility of the times will remain the same and it will be according to what works best for your schedule. Please do your best to stick with our number 2️⃣0️⃣ theme and add the additional forty minutes to it by reading God’s Word. For example, if you choose the 3pm hour, then please start at 3:20 and so forth. Prayerfully consider an hour where the time can be freely spent in prayer and in God’s Word with no interruptions. The Lord is Faithful and He will show you.
With that being said, let’s start by thanking the Lord, praising Him for this 2️⃣0️⃣th day and begin praying for qualities 7 & 8:
Quality #7: Please pray for the Lord to transform your godly husband into a man who puts God first in every area of his life.
Matthew 6:33 “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
Ladies, it’s very important to pray for and marry a man who seeks to keep the Lord first place in every area of his life. As he does, he will reap the blessings of God for his obedience. It doesn’t mean that he will be exempt from trials and testings. No one is! But with our husbands placing God at the center of their lives, they will continue to grow into much deeper and richer relationships with Him as they come to know Him, not only as their Savior, but as their Master Teacher and the Head over their lives. As a result, there will be order in our homes as our husbands continually submit to the God of order. We, as their wives will also reap the blessings from their spiritual leadership as they do everything decently and in order as the Lord commands them. Please pray for your husband to keep the Lord as his #1 priority that it may go well with him.
Psalm 1:1-3 Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.
Galatians 6:9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.
1 Corinthians 14:33 For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.
Quality #8: Please pray for the Lord to mold your godly husband into a man who loves Jesus more than he loves you.
Deuteronomy 6:5 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.
Ladies, it’s important that our future godly husbands love Jesus more than they love us. Some of you may say, “What?” This is a biblical truth. In Exodus 20:5, it says, “You must not bow down to them or worship them, for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God who will not tolerate your affection for any other gods.” In other words, if our husbands love us more than they love the Lord, they have broken God’s commandment by placing us before the Lord Himself. And this same principle applies to you and me as well. If we love our husbands more than we love Jesus, we have also broken God’s commandment and entered into idolatry. Ladies, it’s important that our husbands keep their love for God in its proper place and vice versa. If they love the Lord their God with all their heart, soul, and strength, then the Lord will teach and show them how to love us with the grace and compassion He has shown to them.
Matthew 22:37 Jesus said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.”
Exodus 20:3 “You must not have any other god but Me.”
Scriptures to look up for Fasting:
Psalm 27:14 – As you read and meditate on this verse, pray and ask God to give you the patience to wait on Him and trust His timing on the promise fulfillment of your godly husband.
Genesis 24:1-67 – Please do not become discouraged at the number of verses in this passage, but take your time and read through all of them. It’s a beautiful story of how the Lord orchestrated events to bring Isaac a wife and in turn, Rebekah a husband. Isaac was the son of promise to Abraham and Sarah. As you read through Genesis 24, ask God to give you the grace and the courage to build your confidence and trust in Him as He orchestrates events on your behalf as well as your godly husband to bring you two together at the appointed time. It may look different from Isaac and Rebekah’s story, but believe that the Author Himself is intricately lining up each piece in order to weave together a beautiful love story that will bring glory and honor to His name.
Ruth 2:1-9; 4:1-13 – As you read and meditate on these passages, pray and ask God to give you the strength and desire to accept His divine choice in a godly husband; a faithful man who will always look out for your best interest and protect you. As I’ve been praying for my own godly husband, my heart’s desire is to know and believe that as I am eternally safe in my Savior’s arms, I will also experience genuine safety in my husband’s arms too. My prayer is that he will truly love me as Christ loves the church.
Blessings Beautiful Ladies! I will keep each one of you in my prayers as you pray and fast for your godly husband of promise.🙏🏽😘❤️
