Exodus 19:5 Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine.
In the Bible, God spoke to Moses through a burning bush (Exodus 3:4) and at the top of Mount Sinai (Exodus 19:20-21).
A few weeks ago, I spent three mornings at the beach seeking the Lord’s wisdom, guidance, and direction for this new season of life I’m in. I’ve been praying for His confirmation on a few decisions for the road ahead.
On my way to the beach, I asked the Lord to please go before me, prepare a solitary place for my time alone with Him (away from the crowds), and to show me His glory! And He did! He is Faithful! He led me to a beach cliff overlooking His beautiful creation.
As I began to write down scriptures, meditate on them, read them aloud several times, and turn them into personal prayers, the Lord revealed Himself and spoke to me in powerful ways.
On the beach cliff, I cried out to God and He redeemed me. He comforted me in my distress. The Lord said that He will give me beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness, that I may be a tree of righteousness, planted by the Lord, that He may be glorified (Isaiah 61:3).
On the beach cliff, the Lord spoke and said, ‘My best days are still in front of me and His plans and purposes for my life still remain.’
On the beach cliff, the Lord confirmed to me: He will restore back to me what the locust has eaten and He will bring about restoration in great abundance. He will give back to me what I lost in ways unimaginable. [Ephesians 3:20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.]
On the beach cliff, the Lord spoke to me through 2 Corinthians 1:20 and said, ‘Mae Lee, I haven’t forgotten. I will bring each and everyone of My promises to pass which I have already declared over your life.’ There is no good thing I will withhold from those who walk uprightly (Psalm 84:11b).
On the beach cliff, the Lord restored back to me the joy of my salvation.
On the beach cliff, the Lord reaffirmed to me that I will not go backwards, but forward as He helps, strengthens, and upholds me with His righteous right hand to move forward in my calling and His blessings over my life.
On the beach cliff, the Lord confirmed that He Himself will transition me to the place which He has already prepared and He will provide for all of my needs while going above and beyond, so that I will not lack anything.
On the beach cliff, the Spirit of God spoke to me and said, ‘I will honor you for your honesty, integrity, and obedience to Me.’
On the beach cliff, I cried out to God and recited Psalm 25:4-5, “Show Me Your ways, O Lord, teach me Your paths, lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation, on You, I wait all the day.” And He gave me a glimpse of His glory to come as He re-commissioned me for His kingdom work.
On the beach cliff, the Lord confirmed to me, He is my True Shepherd and He will not leave, nor forsake nor abandon me. As Psalm 32:8 declares, “My God will instruct me and teach me in the way I should go; He will guide me with His eye.”
On the beach cliff, the Lord spoke and He prepared my heart to listen.
The Lord speaks to His children. It can be in the privacy of your own home, in your car, at church, at the office, on a mountaintop, at the park, or wherever. I chose that beach location for specific reasons, but the Lord provided and led me to the cliff. He revealed Himself as I sought Him and He gave me the confirmation I needed.
Our God is an Awesome and Mighty God! He is Faithful and True and worthy of all our praise. He always speaks to His children and He answers our prayers according to His perfect will for our lives. Ask Him to give you an obedient heart, ready and willing to hear what He has to say. The Lord is speaking. Will you listen?
Revelation 3:20 “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.”
Jeremiah 33:3 ‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’
Isaiah 6:8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.”
