Proverbs 19:20-21

Listen to counsel and receive instruction, that you may be wise in your latter days. There are many plans in a man’s heart, nevertheless the Lord’s counsel-that will stand.

The Charles F. Stanley Life Principles Daily Bible regarding Proverbs 19:21 under Life Lessons writes:

“It is unfortunate when we make our own plans, and forget to seek God’s counsel. That’s because it’s God’s plan that will stand-not our own. Therefore, seek God in everything and obey His will. He will move heaven and earth to show you His will and your obedience to Him will bring greater blessings than your plans could hope to achieve.”
